Fall Carnival... Rain or Shine!!! (In the event of rain, the games and activities will be moved indoors.  The Silent Auction is already scheduled to be in the gym, and food will be served in the cafeteria.) Come join us Saturday, October 31, from 9-2 in making this first annual event a HUGE success.  The Book Fair will be open, too.  Look for information to come home with your child this week.  The students will enjoy a kick-off rally for the event before they leave school this Friday.  Each student will also receive one free ticket for the event! :)

Be making plans to be a part of our First Annual Fall Carnival, scheduled for Saturday, October 31, from 9 A.M. until 2 P.M.  Games, prizes, an inflatable, food, auction, and much more will be part of the day.  More details to come soon...  Want to get involved?  Contact the school and become an active part of our PTO!  Our playground is in the process of being installed, but one of the main goals for this year's PTO is to enhance the playground that the county is providing.  The PTO helps with other areas of our school, too.  Be watching your child's folder for more information soon.  Thanks!  Click here for Ticket PreSale Forms, Stuffed Animal Info, and Volunteer Forms... festival__300011.pdf

Welcome to Portland Gateview Elementary!  We are excited about the upcoming School Year as we start an adventure together as a new school family.  More information will be added soon to this site, but in the meantime, please find the Supply List for your convenience. *Please note the supply fees have been reduced from the original ones posted...*

  Menus for Breakfast and Lunch are now posted on the cafeteria page.    Breakast will be $1.65, and lunch will be $2.60.

Drop Off & Dismissal:  As we continue to adjust our procedures, we thank you for your patience.  Please assist us with these times in the following ways:

In the morning, as soon as the SINGLE line stops beside the sidewalk, please allow your children to exit the vehicle. Adults will be present to help monitor and assist, but if we wait to unload until we reach the front of the line, we cannot get everyone into the building before school begins.

In the afternoon, we are going to try a SINGLE line just as in the morning to see if we can load more quickly.  Again, this is all subject to change, and you have been wonderful to work with us.

School Hours:

 

• 7:15 - 2:15 for Grades 1-5  
• 7:15 - 1:00 for Kindergarten.
• Students are expected to be in their classrooms prior to the bell ringing at 7:15. 

 

Car riders will be dropped off and picked up at the main entrance to the building.  Please follow the signs that indicate for cars, and safety is always of the utmost concern.  Buses will unload in a designated area.  Students will have the option of going directly to the cafeteria for Breakfast or going to the Gym to await dismissal by classes.

Earliest arrival for students who are not in the Cub House program is 6:45 A.M.

Check out our first ever PGE Shirt!  This will be the only shirt offered this year, so please order your by September 8.  An order form should have come home in your child's folder, but feel free to contact the school for more information.  A display will be available on Open House night, too.

Youth:  Small, Medium, & Large

Adult:  Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, and 2XL

Pricing:  All shirts are $13 with the exception of the 2XL, and it is $15.
