PGE works to strengthen its relationships with our students with special needs with our PB & J Program (Peer Buddies & Johnson's Classroom Program). This program was developed by Latonya Johnson. It allows 4th and 5th grade students to visit the CDC classroom and develop peer relationships with CDC students. Each day of the school week, responsible student volunteers visit the CDC students during recess. As this program grows, it will expand to the second CDC classroom.
Success of the PB & J Program has been measured by the smiles of the CDC students and the desire of the 4th and 5th grade students to continue to volunteer!
